Pamflet Nr. 0 — how it was printed
Design specification — not client-facing

V9 — Pamflet

Thesis: Dutch protest-pamphlet brutalism — no images, no cards, no chrome; only enormous typography, one green, hard rules, and the site readable top-to-bottom as a manifesto you could wheat-paste to a wall. WCAG AA everywhere, because making brutalism accessible is the flex. The one direction that sounds like the students, not the consultancy.

One of ten competing design variants; content identical across all ten (see website/variants/content.md).

The system

Specification

  1. Palette

Unbleached paper #F6F3EC, ink #111311, one green #00693C/#00522E. Nothing else exists. Ink on paper is 16:1; green-deep on paper passes AA at every size used.

  2. Type

Anton (the shout — up to 12.5rem, line-height 0.92, uppercase) + Public Sans 400/700 (the fine print). Two voices: shouted and spoken. The scale ratio between them IS the design.

  3. Structure

Single column, hard 8px section rules (3px for minor breaks), numbered manifesto lists with oversized counters, facts as green-barred stamps, the team as signatories. The one rotated element (the GRATIS block) earns its tilt by being the pamphlet's single most important fact.

  4. Motion

None. Paper does not animate. Hover and focus states only — thick underlines and block inversions. Zero JavaScript on the entire variant.

  5. Honesty devices

"NOG NIET — not yet" dashed blocks; the manifesto's fourth belief states the rule out loud; no logo appears that wasn't earned.

  6. Accessibility flex

Semantic heading order under the shouts, visible focus everywhere, no motion to gate, no images to alt — the most accessible variant of the ten by construction.

Method & extension

How to print more

Build: hand-written static HTML/CSS, one stylesheet, no framework, no JavaScript, no images. ~70 KB of self-hosted woff2 is the whole asset budget — the lightest variant of the ten.

Mood calibration: Provo-era Dutch protest print and International Typographic-era manifestos — scale as conviction, restraint as discipline. The line to hold: every shout must be true; brutalism with false claims is just advertising.

To extend: every new page is the next numbered pamphlet. Our Work becomes Pamflet Nr. 3 — one case per broadsheet section, the outcome as the shout and the evidence as fine print. Impact is a single giant number page (only when the number is real). Rules: one green, no images except real photographs of real work when they exist, and nothing decorative that a photocopier couldn't reproduce.

Deploy: consolidated Cloudflare Pages tree via tools/deploy-cf.ps1.

Rounds

Print 1 — initial construction. Built from the shared content spec with every accumulated lesson applied: zero motion and zero JS by thesis, no card walls, plain controls, no cross-page duplication (Pamflet 2 is its own document), one placeholder register, correct field counts, semantic color. Awaiting Critic round 1.
