Two universities, one team

Different disciplines. One clear direction.

180 Degrees Consulting is the world's largest university-based consultancy. Our Delft–Rotterdam branch combines engineering, design, economics, and business in project teams built around each client's challenge.

Our focus is impact, but it is not a gate. We work with non-profits, social enterprises, and almost any organisation trying to do good. If that sounds like you, start the conversation.

Six service areas

What we do

Each engagement is scoped to one area. These six are where most of our work sits—the branch takes projects case by case and is always expanding.

01

Digital Transformation

Putting the right tools and processes in place so a small team stops losing hours to manual work.

02

Marketing & Engagement

Reaching the audiences your mission serves, and the donors and volunteers who sustain it.

03

Financial Sustainability

Building funding models and cost structures that survive beyond the next grant cycle.

04

Market Assessment

Evidence on where demand, partners, and competition actually are before you commit resources.

05

Operational Efficiency

Finding where effort leaks out of your processes and redesigning them around your capacity.

06

Impact Measurement

Defining and tracking the numbers that prove your work works, for boards and funders.

Quality, shown

Every deliverable is reviewed before a client sees it.

An AI-assisted senior review our branch builds in-house checks evidence, logic, and clarity against professional consulting standards. The consultant does every rewrite; the reviewer only teaches.

Its central rule: “A finding must quote the document verbatim, or stay silent.”

Our work

What a deliverable looks like

Our first case studies are being prepared for publication with client consent. Until then, these spaces stay visibly reserved rather than filled with invented organisations, numbers, or outcomes.

For students · two recruitment windows

Learn by doing work that matters.

No consulting experience required. We recruit twice a year, once per consulting cycle: Cycle 1 recruits in September; Cycle 2 recruits in January/February.

Consultant

Arrive fresh, learn on the job

No experience required—and we mean it. Work directly with an organisation's leadership for one cycle, with a trained team and Team Leader around you.

Team Leader

Lead a team through a cycle

Experience is wanted here. The usual path is one cycle as a Consultant, then stepping up to Team Leader the next.
